ahhh JADE IS LIKE THE CUTEST PERSON? Kuroko has a super!soft spot for animals and Jade is like the puppy he never knew he wanted. But also, he has super huge amounts of respect for her because of Dragon's game - like how cool is that, you went to help people! While he.. was being useless. That's super cool, Jade-san!! At the same time, he feels really.. like, it shouldn't be necessary for someone like her (a child, like him!) to see terrible things in this game, so that gets even more points from him. basically, she's super high on his chart of Offteam People I Like. he would also like to see Jade, Mercury and Dory in the orchard together, making flower crowns '-' or just generally being happy, that would be great.

JADE DOES. NOT KNOW MUCH ABOUT SAGE because she is pretty new and also I have been on hiatus like a giant buttface.

BUT SHE DOES LIKE KUROKO VERY MUCH she thinks he is kind, though very gentle and kind of innocent? The way he handled a combat situation was very telling for her - she felt like she really needed to protect him, and so now even though he is a year-ish older than her, she feels sort of like she has to big sister him. Especially since in her memories she kind of takes the role of big sister/caretaker for a lot of people who are older than her, this seems very natural and good. SO SHE WILL...look out for him! In a good way!

THE GAME WAS SUPER PLEASANT, Kuroko could get used to this. Although, he would like to not ever say the word mongrel again, that was kind of ridiculous? BUT IT WAS A GOOD GAME in more ways than one, because unlike Sophie's game (where he was literally shitfaced and fast asleep throughout like half the game) he was awake, and useful! It wouldn't be exaggerating to say that Kuroko did a lot of the point getting, which helps his self-esteem because he's !!! useful!!!! And not making everyone lag behind! '^' And it's a game that he feels good about winning, unlike Dragon's game (s-sob) or Sophie's game (doesn't remember shit, Apple probably was the one who won it). Combining that with the singular match that he played in his memories, Kuroko has tasted the sweet nectar of victory and likes it a lot, so he has renewed drive to play and to win ' 3 ' and Regina was super nice and cute? The hug came COMPLETELY FROM LEFT FIELD so his heart is still pitterpattering from that, but she's definitely a portrait on his good list ' v '

UM SO she has gotten back approximately three memories: grappling hook to the lily pads and placing all the presents errywhere, a week in facility where she was canon swapped into Scott Pilgrim, and then SKRULL WEEK where she was kidnapped and tortured pretty mercilessly and then instead of crying about it had to support all her depressed friends. SO IT IS VERY. . . DIVERSE? She doesn't actually know that these are two different places yet, but she can assume since they are so radically different.

RIGHT NOW the differences are that Fac!Jade is a lot more...lmao jaded is the word. During the end of her stay in facility the first time she was extremely depressed; everyone left her, she had stopped caring whether people lived or died and pretty much took care of herself, Jack and Dave 24/7 it was exhausting and she couldn't care less any more. Here, she's much happier! And I think she'll head down that road again eventually, but here she's got a team to back her up and the bad things don't happen quite so often.

HILARIOUSLY, FOR BEING AS OBSERVANT AS HE IS.... Kuroko doesn't actually know what's going on with Celeste, as in why everyone thinks Celeste is crazy. He doesn't see any crazy!! He sees abrasive people who are also not very friendly, but he also sees Rolan and Jackal and Dory and he really likes them! He also likes March too, although he can never tell if March is serious or not. (Generally, he takes March at face-value, and so answers his insulting questions bluntly as well.) He's also not aware of the Canary thing, but he figures hey, since Shark and March do seem like people who would be hard to get along with, maybe everyone else just doesn't like Celeste because of those two? They're the vocal minority to him, in other words, and since he doesn't really mind being called a pervert or invisible 8Va he just looks past March and Shark (more like the latter, since he has gotten through to March via ICE CREAAAAAAAAAAM) to see cute Celestes. I think, honestly, Celeste would be the first team that Kuroko would think of first as an ally team, since... actually, a lot of his off-team interaction tends to be with Celeste, haha. Also, he's very concerned for Bunny. Stabbed in the chest.....

Basically he's ignorant and has good feels about Celeste. Also, in terms of People He Likes To Talk To, it would go March (by virtue of actually having things to talk about, it's great talking to someone who's always trying to insult you or talking about death because then you can contribute!) -> Jackal, Dory, Rolan -> Shark and somewhere... in this chain is Bunny.

Lark has already learned from experience and so is acutely aware that he doesn't like being touched in a familiar way by people he doesn't consider close. A lot of his manners (this is not something he consciously realizes yet but he's been contemplating this lately too) are not so much out of respect and politeness as they are out of formality and distance, and while he doesn't know why yet he does have a pretty strong sense of "if you are not this close YOU SHOULD NOT BE THIS CLOSE" if... that makes sense?? it definitely makes him uncomfortable when people get really friendly really fast! unless he is also getting really friendly really fast which I guess to be fair has happened on a couple occasions. but basically people don't need to match his formality by any means but he does at least hope for them to take is as a cue in regards to familiarity/intimacy SO SINCE TOUCHING IS PRETTY INTIMATE AND FAMILIAR... yes.

He's a basketball, basketballs are fairly used to rough plays and getting close to other people and touching, so he doesn't really mind it when it comes to that sense. Celeste also... mmm, while in a way they have the same thing in common as the Chess re: outsider syndrome, it's also different there because Chess became Chess because they were treated differently while Celeste are treated differently because they're Celeste, so even though Lark is closer to Celeste by necessity, Rolan has a stronger feeling of belonging to the Chess.

DECO TEAMS VS. BASKETBALL TEAMS which is more or less reverse I guess

DECO TEAMS VS BASKETBALL TEAMS HM well

first of all, Kuroko only has Teikou to compare any team with! And Teikou is a school where basically, winning is The Priority. What little he can glean from his memories shows him that (wow his captain is kind of scary) he's at a really prestigious school and they have to win - and he enjoys that and thinks that's pretty much the goal of basketball, and if he wins = he'll enjoy the game. But that's so different from Sage, because Sage is like WELL WE WANT TO WIN BUT WE VALUE OUR WELLBEINGS MORE and sometimes the two intersect, see: Dragon's game. And while yes, he does enjoy basketball and yes, he does enjoy winning! He can see the value in not wanting to sacrifice everything to win, and that losing is okay. (It helps that they're not playing basketball games, and that they're playing more dangerous games.) Still, Sage is like..... instead of a tightly-knit team (like Seirin) or instead of a singular-goal umbrella that everyone can sit under and fight like hell for team (like Teikou), Sage is more like roommates that don't really have either teamwork or a singular goal - moreover, Deco teams aren't really like that either, from Kuroko's perspective. Instead of just a "team", where they get together and accomplish something and break apart and have generally separate lives, they're more like "family", where sleepovers happen daily and they share meals together, but they're still not so close or dependent on each other that they'll be completely useless without each other and they can still accomplish things individually. Kuroko is much more close to Sage on a familial level than he is to Teikou (especially now), but at the same time, he's more independent because on Teikou, he's literally the most useless guy on the team save for his ~special ability~ that doesn't even work throughout the entire game AND HE KNOWS THAT, EVEN WITH LIKE ONLY FOUR MEMORIES HE KNOWS HOW USELESS HE IS BACK HOME and he's kind of glad everything isn't basketball because of it!

It's almost like Teikou!Kuroko fastforwarded to Winter Cup!Kuroko where he isn't so horribly dependent on either Aomine or Kagami as his "light" in order to be able to do anything at all, except the change didn't happen because Kuroko got sick of Teikou but because Sage was just the more appealing team in comparison.

SHIRAYUKI IS SPECIAL IN KUROKO'S KOKORO (wow say that ten times fast) because she's a sageling ' v ' TEAMMMATEEEEE. And also, she seems like the super responsible one. Like, in a basketball team, the manager who supports everyone kind of responsible! At the same time, of course, she's a player (and a lot more useful than he is, she's won a game by herself!) and a most valuable one. Insert basketball metaphor about how she's a point guard or something, I'm trying to think like Kuroko does but he thinks in basketball how do I do that. BASICALLY THOUGH, she's like the one that directs the plays and if there's anyone Kuroko will listen to in the middle of the game, it'd be Shirayuki. HE.... LIKES HER, IN OTHER WORDS, TO SAY THE LEAST? He's got a lot of trust in her, and if the team needs any direction, she'd be the one he'd look to find it (direction) in, and he can trust that whatever decision Shirayuki makes, he'll be able to trust in it! in interest of full disclosure, she's used to them because she was raised in the main human city in her world, but she still just doesn't get how they work. HOW DO YOU BALANCE WITHOUT TAILS AND HEAR ANYTHING WITH THOSE TINY LITTLE EARS.

On the other hand, seeing the other cat people in Deco is confusing her. William has no claws and he is too light and what is this??? The ratio of humans to cat people seems about right to her, but the cat people are weird because they're not like her race is supposed to be, from what little she knows and remembers.

How would Kuroko react if castmates showed up?

KUROKO.............. it all depends on whether he remembers them or not + how close he was to that person in his memories. THAT IS TO SAY, if it's someone from the Generation of Miracles (particularly Aomine and Kise at this point) then he's comfortable enough with them to grab them and pull them away from whatever team they're on to drag them to the basketball court '-' and kind of just lay there and osmosis with them play pretend basketball with them (unless he ever gets a basketball...). If it's someone he doesn't remember yet, or someone who he doesn't reaaaaaaaally know about (like, Seirin people or maybe one of Seirin's opponents that exclude the Generation of Miracles) then he'd probably just stare at them a lot in interest. "They're wearing a basketball uniform..... I want to talk to them...... How should I approach them..............." He will be the doki stalker hoping that Senpai notices him.

Pretty positive! The only Sages she really knows of are Kuroko and Shirayuki, the rest of the team is a big ???. But with Deco being what it is, she's assuming 'no real knowledge' = 'has not done anything awful or crazy', so Sage is pretty great as far as she is concerned. Also Shirayuki's medic-fu does not hurt her opinion at all.

TO EXPLAIN KUROKO'S FEELINGS ABOUT KAITO IS TO EXPLAIN HIS FEELINGS ON HIS SAGE TEAMMATES IN A FOOD CHAIN MENTALITY

Basically, the food chain goes something like this: Shirayuki -> Kyriss -> Elliot -> Kaito. KAITO IS EASILY ON THE LOWEST TIER not so much of "caring" but like "how much of this person's opinion/feelings matters to me". He's not so rrrrrrude that he won't consider Kaito's feelings on something important/serious, but he can totally have Kaito go and do things for him in games '-' be the active one, Kaito. IT DOESN'T HELP THAT KAITO HAS PROVEN THIS, MAKING DECISIONS AND KISSING THINGS BECAUSE KUROKO SAID SO. KUROKO WASN'T REALLY SERIOUS WHEN HE WAS EGGING KAITO DO KISS PEOPLE and then Kaito went and kissed people and Kuroko thought, oh, this person is very gullible, isn't he. Also, Kaito is the one that will be the most teased by Kuroko, because the hierarchy above (which can also be labeled "levels of respect and courtesy I will give to this person"), so if you reverse it, it could be a "hierarchy of how comfortable I am with joking around with this person" WHICH DISCLAIMER, DOESN'T MAKE HIM LESS COMFORTABLE WITH SHIRAYUKI OR KYRISS, BUT HE HASN'T REALLY DONE ANYTHING IN TERMS OF JOKING/TEASING so.

Basically, KAITO IS SAGE'S COMIC RELIEF IN KUROKO'S OPINION he thinks of Kaito as someone he enjoys teasing, which is!! a testament of his affection!!! ALSO KAITO IS THE SHOOTING GUARD in terms of basketball, and so he's the one who Kuroko goes to to GET POINTS (see: Sys's game and the kissing game) for games!! And really, that is evidence that Kuroko trusts Kaito because the SG position is super important as well '-' for a game. (note this just reinforces his teasing)

SORRY TO BE LATE AGAIN—!

LET'S SEE... Kuroko is... weird. You get the "weird" label. (It's an endearing one, really.) He's always appearing out of nowhere, and it's really like there's something about him, even though he's always so calm and seemingly normal. If Kaito were to actually give it any thought, he'd probably wonder what brought Kuroko here in the first place. BUT HE DOESN'T, and that's not because he doesn't care. It's just pretty given that everyone is there for some reason, and that's their personal business.

Kuroko's teasing can get on his nerves, probably because it's... super effective... Kaito's kind of like Marty McFly so he's pretty easy to rile up if you're challenging his abilities /o\ And also on that note, he is still going to get you back for that kissing game, Kuroko...!!

But anyway! Despite being a weird guy who can be a little annoying sometimes, Kaito likes him and even values his input, especially when it comes to the games. Kaito's still angry at himself for agreeing to tone down his own offering during the Sys game, but he was glad to have Kuroko there with him for it. Really, Kaito can be kind of reckless, so he needs to have someone there keeping him in check (whether he believes so or not), and I guess Kuroko helps to do just that!

But man, once Kaito gets some more abilities back, he is going to totally impress you with his awesomeness and then maybe you'll respect him X(!!

KUROKO........... well, he does things that he normally does whether or not people are there. PEOPLE NEVER... REALLY NOTICE HIM, SO IT DOESN'T REALLY MATTER? He reads, he pretend!practices playing basketball, and he jogs. Sometimes, he'll try to do things that catch people's attentions, but it hasn't worked out very well so far..............

Also, other times, he'll just do things like make fun of people silently. That's just a thing he does.
